Mind Sports Olympiad back to London

Earlier, Mr David Levy told us that MSO is back to London this year.

Renewing our cooperation, the Xiangqi tournaments will also be organised from 26th to 29th of August.

Here is what the MSO website said :

"After three years in Manchester the Mind Sports Olympiad is returning to London, and entry fees have been reduced. The tenth in this annual series of games festivals will take place at the University of Westminster campus on Marylebone Road, facing the London Planetarium. The event runs for nine days, from August 26th to September 3rd. Contestants may enter tournaments on a per-event basis, or take advantage of the Olympiad season tickets that will be available for the entire 9 days at £125 (juniors under 19, £95), or the day tickets at £30 (juniors £22). In addition to the traditional MSO Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, cash prizes will be offered where there is prize sponsorship. Smoking will not be permitted anywhere on the playing site.

This move has been made in response to the many MSO participants who have expressed a strong preference for a London venue.

See sidebar for the latest schedule. This will be updated with additional information as we get closer to August. Printed entry forms will be available shortly thereafter. We shall also be providing details of low cost accommodation within easy reach of the venue.
